Mood Board Collective | Lilac & Green

Lovely lavender is the collective inspiration for this month’s mood board challenge, where several interiors bloggers take the same starting point and use it to create a mood board for any space they want to dream up.

Soft blue and green complement the lilac in the lavender – such a pretty colour palette. As a result, we’ve got some very pretty room designs on show.

Emmerson & Fifteenth | Living Room Mood Board

I decided to do a renter-friendly living room – white walls with lilac accents and, mainly because I freaking love this sofa, a big splash of emerald green.

Pillows – Caitlin Wilson // Side Table – Target // Chair – Ballard Designs
Sofa – Ikea // Ottoman – Anthropologie // Rug – Rugs USA

I’ve just been itching to use that emerald green velvet sofa in a design board since I saw it in the new Ikea catalog. And the cowhide Anthropologie ottoman has me all swoony-eyed. I’d buy it for myself if I didn’t have toddlers!

Here’s what everyone created using the same lilac and green inspiration image for their room designs.

Carissa Miss | Nursery Mood Board

Lavender girl nursery

I of course still have baby on my mind {it’s a little all encompassing don’t ya think?} and couldn’t help but see a beautiful chic nursery when I saw lavender hues. Maybe it was wistful thinking since I’m completely in boy mode right now. I’ll always be drawn to little girl things!

Home with Baxer | Nursery Mood Board

Lilac and green nursery room design

This month’s photo inspired me to create a beautiful, sophisticated baby nursery. In this design, I ignored practicality and price, and filled the room with pretty things. You could swap out the crib for a daybed and have a space that will last for years. Add an armoire and shelving and this could be a fun dressing room.

The House of Grey | Bathroom Mood Board

Lilac and green bathroom mood board

The soothing colors in this month’s inspiration picture immediately had me thinking of a spa bathroom. I would paint the walls a soft blue, add lavender and sage touches in the art and bath linens, and bring in some wood and stone to play off all the muted tones. And now I’m obsessed with that free standing tub!
