Favorite Things: Brass-Inlay Storage & A Pink Bathroom

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, in a good way. We had friends up during the kids’ half term, family the following week, a couples trip to Amsterdam (we stayed in the cutest place – more on that soon), and I managed to share a full house tour in the middle of it all. I’ve also been featured around the web a couple of times by some lovely people, and spotted some lovely things that I can’t keep to myself. So this is a round-up of all of that.… View Post

Favourite Things: Love Your Home

Favourite Things: Love Your Home

You may remember me raving about how much I love the sofa we bought over summer. It’s the Clementine Chesterfield Sofa Bed from Love Your Home, and I genuinely have nothing but love for it. So much so that I recommended another one of their Chesterfields – the Charlotte – to a recent e-Design client. My love for this company doesn’t end with sofas, though, although they do do sofas – and chairs, and chaise longues – very well. Sofas & Other Upholstered Seating Tallulah Chaise I mean, just really. Low-Key Christmas Decorating

Low-Key Christmas Decorating

I stick with simple when it comes to Christmas decorating. I use the same stuff every year, and generally only add to it when I can find pretty things in the sales after Christmas. e-Design: A Calm Country Cottage Living Room

I’ve been working on an e-Design plan for the cottage living room of one of the loveliest families ever. They’ve got two gorgeous kids, aged 4 and 2, and they wanted to carve out an adult space free from all the plastic paraphenalia that comes with living with small people. Inspiration The brief was a calm, clean, clutter-free area space with a traditional vibe, “typical of a Country Living feature.” I pulled together a few photos that, I thought, summarised the look we were going for and sent this over: They… View Post

My New Chesterfield Sofa Bed from Love Your …

My New Chesterfield Sofa Bed from Love Your Home

If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you will have heard me harping on about my dream sofa…a navy velvet Chesterfield. Well, I shall no longer be banging on about how much I want/covet/need one…because I finally have one. In my actual house. That I am sitting on right now! A lot of time went into selecting “the one.” I decided on one from Love Your Home over a year ago because they’re solid, great quality, and well priced. I was torn between two models, though – the… View Post
