ORC Week 1: Shared Kids’ Room Plans

ORC Week 1: Shared Kids’ Room Plans

I am a first time linking participant in this round of the One Room Challenge. If you’re not familiar, it’s a biannual event hosted by Calling It Home, where design bloggers make over a space in six weeks, sharing weekly updates. I’ve been following it forever, harbouring mild envy at what people are able to achieve, and soaking up all the gorgeous inspiration too, of course. It’s very exciting to be settled enough now to be able to join in!… View Post

Mood Board: A Mid-Century Office

Mood Board: A Mid-Century Office

I just recently discovered The HighBoy, which is a curated marketplace for antiques and fine art. There is so much good stuff on the site. I picked out a few pieces to put together an office space. The artwork at Sketch is by David Shrigley, who I love. His prints aren’t insanely expensive, but you could also opt for a similar (less humourous) aesthetic with black and white sketched prints from Etsy. e-Design: A Cheerful Jeeves & Wooster Inspired Living Room

I’ve officially launched my e-Design services, and today I’m sharing a full design plan I put together for a UK client so you can see what my e-Design services include. My client, KP, wanted a Jeeves & Wooster-inspired living room (i.e. with 1930s Art Deco touches) that felt bright and cheery. He already had table lamps, a large gold mirror, and had recently picked up an Oriental coffee table on eBay. He loves leather furniture, and wanted a sofa bed for overnight… View Post
