Favorite Things: Brass-Inlay Storage & A Pink Bathroom

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, in a good way. We had friends up during the kids’ half term, family the following week, a couples trip to Amsterdam (we stayed in the cutest place – more on that soon), and I managed to share a full house tour in the middle of it all. I’ve also been featured around the web a couple of times by some lovely people, and spotted some lovely things that I can’t keep to myself. So this is a round-up of all of that.… View Post

Mood Board: A Black And White Bathroom with Wood and Brass Accents

If we owned our home, rather than renting it, there are definitely a few changes I’d want to make. High up on the priority list would definitely be a black and white bathroom renovation for our master suite. Of course, I already have an idea of what I’d do! A monochrome palette would work well with our master bedroom, but adding brass and wood accents would warm the scheme up and keep it feeling cosy. This is a look that I’ve pinned variations of on my Bathrooms pin board a lot – I just… View Post

Some of my Favorite ORC Rooms

Some of my Favorite ORC Rooms

There was so much good stuff that came out of this round of the One Room Challenge, and I’m going to share a few of my faves today. I’ll stick with my top three of the twenty featured designers. I am head over heels for Waiting On Martha’s new team office – I love industrial spaces anyway, and this one is so wonderfully calm, warm and refined – such a lovely juxtaposition… Making It Lovely’s bedroom/den space is just dreamy. And again with the juxtaposition – classic Victorian features with a good dose… View Post

Design Collaboration Challenge: Teal & Orange

Design Collaboration Challenge: Teal & Orange

Jane picked out the inspiration palette for this month’s design collaboration – a vibrant combo of teal and orange. Every month, we take the same inspiration photo and each put together a mood board. It’s so fun seeing everyone’s different take on it. This month, apparently there was something in the air, because three of us all decided to create either a patio mood board or an outdoor deck! My Mood Board: An Urban Patio I immediately thought Autumn, but not wanting to wish the summer away, I went for a… View Post

Design Collaboration Challenge: A Coral & Navy Dining Room

Design Collaboration Challenge: A Coral & Navy Dining Room

Every month I join a group of bloggers and we all create a mood board based on one inspiration photo. This month, it was my pick and I (probably rather predictably) chose a navy, coral and gold theme. It’s so yummy, right? I seriously love what everyone came up with month. I didn’t get to spend as much time on mine as I wanted to, but I managed to pull together a “rustic glam” dining room, or that’s what I’m calling it at least. I stuck with renter-friendly white walls,… View Post
