Design Finds | A New Orleans Family Vacation Rental & A Tiny Home

Travel // A New Orleans Family Vacation Home

One of the best family holidays we’ve taken was to New Orleans. There’s tonnes for kids to do, and the food is amazing. We took the Amtrak from Chicago and slept in a sleeper car – so fun! We stayed in a hotel, but if I went again, I’d like to rent somewhere with a more authentic New Orleans vibe. Like this lovely little shotgun rental home in the city’s Lower Garden District.

Isn’t it cute? This New Orleans family vacation home has two bedrooms and sleeps five. Via Kid & Coe.

Inspiring Spaces // Ana White’s Tiny House

If you haven’t seen the mind-blowing tiny house that Ana White recently finished, you have to go check it out. It’s got an elevated bed that can be stored high up to create a roomy living area below. And check out those huge windows – the whole space is so light and airy.

She’s also got a YouTube video about the tiny house, which is definitely worth watching too.

Finds // Bringing the 80s back

A marble and gold 80s car phone. Now there’s something I didn’t know I needed in my life. (From West Elm.)

DIY // An Ombré Focal Wall

Love the DIY ombré wall that Nine Green Bottles created on her fireplace. Apparently the tutorial took longer to write up than the actual project, and it makes quite a statement on that fireplace wall.
