Get the Look | Sketch London

Sketch has been on my list of places to check out for afternoon tea for a long time. I mean, look at this place: A lot of the elements could work in a residential space too. The artwork at Sketch is by David Shrigley, who I love. His prints aren’t insanely expensive, but you could also opt for a similar (less humourous) aesthetic with black and white sketched prints from Etsy. Pretty Plants for Clean Air

Pretty Plants for Clean Air

A lot of my favourite spaces have a common element – plants.  {Via} {Via} They can visually balance a space – every room needs something organic, I think – and the health benefits are a bonus (priorities, people). Venetian mirror – 1st Dibs // Lamp shade – Target Lamp base – Asda // Chinese planter – Amazon Snakeskin tray – Amazon // Console – Home… View Post

A Little Bit of English Country…in the City

My parents just put their house on the market, and it’s rather gorgeous. It’s an 18th century cottage very close to Salisbury city center and the cathedral. It’s spread over three floors. I had no idea but it’s actually about the same size as our condo – 1400 square feet versus our 1470. I always thought theirs was bigger, although I suppose it’s because we have a lot of our square footage tied up in walk-in closets and other storage… View Post

Mood Board | A Colourful Toddler Bedroom

For the new “big boy” toddler bedroom, I’m embracing bright colours, pattern and kid-friendly design with a focus on lots of the little man’s favorite things (mostly trucks). The budget is tight, so I’m using furniture that we already own, then I’ll bring it all together with fun accessories and a few little DIYs. Kids rooms – nurseries and toddler bedrooms in particular – don’t need to be designed for longevity (aww shucks they just grow up so fast). So… View Post
