How To Hide Ugly Air Conditioning Units

How To Hide Ugly Air Conditioning Units

My least favorite thing about our first apartment was the massive, ugly wall air conditioning unit. Given that we owned like five whole pieces of furniture when we moved in (a Goodwill table and chairs), it was super dominant and irked me daily. It was also totally necessary, of course. If only I’d thought of some of these tricks for hiding it at the time. This genius solution is a Billy bookcase Ikea hack – Mara had a panel cut out of the back and added doors and pretty hardware.… View Post

Living Room Progress & News

Living Room Progress & News

Firstly, news: we are moving again – boxes are being packed as I type. This makes five houses in five years. It wasn’t planned, but we’re renters, and sometimes that’s just how it goes. Organizing A Small Kitchen

When we moved into our current loft, we lucked out with a decent kitchen. Not necessarily what I would have chosen, but very nice, with lovely granite counters, stainless steel appliances and a great gas hob. What wasn’t so great was the actual space. Of the four different apartments/condos we’ve lived in over the last eight years, this one definitely has the smallest kitchen. Actually, each kitchen we’ve lived with has been smaller than the last. It became a problem in our last loft, because we’d amassed so much stuff… View Post

On that note, here is a Brit version of How To Decorate Without Paint!Temporary WallpaperSadly, Tempaper (makers of fabulously removable temporary wallpaper) doesn’t sell in the UK. Still, you might consider using normal wallpaper with temporary adhesion, like Winston’s Roost did here – this gorgeous wallpaper is attached to the wall with thumb tacks and the edges are held down with blue tack.
