Design Boards: Colorful Vintage Modern Living and Dining Spaces

An embarrassingly long time ago, I helped one of our friends/neighbors with design boards for their living and dining areas. They live in the same type of space as we do – an airy loft with concrete ceilings and a brick wall. Design Board: Moroccan Vintage Romance Bedroom

Design Board: Moroccan Vintage Romance Bedroom

Jackie emailed me asking for help with her bedroom. It’s a big room, but a pretty awkward shape. She described her style as “Moroccan Vintage Romance,” with an emphasis on the romance. So fun! It should incorporate rich jewel tones, particularly deep purple. 4. It needed to feel bigger despite the limited… View Post

Design Board: Vicki’s Kitchen

Design Board: Vicki’s Kitchen

Vicki contacted me asking for help with the kitchen in her rental apartment. She had a few key requests for the space: 1. Storage. 2. A distraction from the floor, back splash and dark wood cabinets. 3. A dining space. The kitchen came with mustard appliances, which I used as a jumping off point. To complement the mustard, I chose to add grey and aqua along with a healthy dose of white to balance the dark cabinets that Vicki wasn’t fond of. Here is the result: One of my favorite elements… View Post
