I spotted some little wooden vehicles in a craft store the other day for 60 cents each and thought they would be perfect as wall art for my little man’s big boy room (he loves trucks, and pretty much anything else with wheels).
I had some colourful scrap book paper left over from his baby book and I picked up some Ribba frames from Ikea. I mounted the vehicles on the paper and framed them without the glass. Eventually, they’ll be part of a picture wall with some family photos and maybe a couple of his hand prints.

This was a really simple project and the little man is a big fan (he pulled the dump truck off the paper and drove it around before I got round to hanging it out of his reach). Each of the 12.5″ x 16.5″ frames cost $9.99, putting the total cost for this mini project at about $43.

I used these pieces as a jumping off point for the rest of his room…

The rug just arrived in the mail and was greeted with a very enthusiastic, “Oh, wow!” from the little guy. So everything meets his seal of approval so far. I’m hoping to get the room painted soon then I can start tying it all together. More to come…
