Design Board: A Moody Bar AKA Girl Cave

Design Board: A Moody Bar AKA Girl Cave

I’ve been very much digging dark, intimate spaces lately, and today’s design board is just that. It’s pretty monochrome, with the dark charcoal walls echoed in the bar, art work, and rug. The bar stools, from Chairish, were actually the jumping off point for this whole design. The rich leather warms up all the grey and blue, then gold accents turn this otherwise masculine space into a cozy girl cave. Also, those bubble pendants. Yes please. It’s very exciting to be settled enough now to be able to join in! The kids have been sharing a room since we moved… View Post

Mood Board: A Mid-Century Office

Mood Board: A Mid-Century Office

I just recently discovered The HighBoy, which is a curated marketplace for antiques and fine art. There is so much good stuff on the site. I picked out a few pieces to put together an office space. I went mainly mid-century for this design, but the range is huge.  1. Pendant // This Art Deco piece isn’t mid-century, but it fits thanks to the beautiful navy detailing on the painted glass. 2. ‘Open Space in Jerusalem’ by Eve Menes // This gorgeous watercolor on paper ties the color scheme together perfectly. 3. Crystal Table… View Post
